The history of Flemington is rich and complex, dating back to the 1700s when it was home to a Native American tribe. The Lenape Indians lived in this area before European settlers arrived; they hunted game with bows & arrows while growing crops like corn or pumpkins on their farms, making them an essential part of our local agriculture industry today! In 1738 one such German man named John Phillip Kase purchased a large amount of land from William Penn’s sons, where he built his cabin along Mine Brook, now known as “Kasemade Place.”
